Dr Sabine Woerwag-Mehta is an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, who practises a recovery oriented, strength based, holistic and systems focused approach and is dedicated to collaborative multidisciplinary working styles.

Dr Woerwag-Mehta leads the community based multidisciplinary Eating Disorder Program for Child and Youth at Gold Coast Health. She is Associate Professor and Head of Research for Child and Youth Mental Health and Specialist Services at Gold Coast Health conjointly appointed with Bond University. She is dual trained in Paediatrics and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry with clinical and academic training (PhD) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at Kings College London.

Dr Woerwag-Mehta's clinical expertise includes eating disorders, mental health problems in the context of physical illness, neurodevelopmental disorders, complex trauma, mood and emerging borderline personality disorders.

Dr Woerwag-Mehta is an experienced presenter, actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate training, research and service development and published in the areas of Eating Disorders, Liaison Psychiatry and suicide prevention.
