About Me

Tina is a clinical psychologist, with over 20 years’ experience in assessment and diagnosis of a wide variety of complex mental health conditions. Tina utilizes her skills in CBT, EMDR, and neuropsychology to work with patients, in improving their symptoms and alleviating psychological distress.  She has a special interest in assessment and diagnosis related to children and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Tina has worked in a wide variety of settings, including, hospitals (RBWH, Prince Charles and Ipswich Hospital) and both public/ private outpatient clinics.  She has also written and delivered programs as part of Brain Injury rehabilitation and was previously awarded a government grant for research into the impact of childhood brain injury on memory.

Tina has a keen interest in the assessment of complex child/ adolescent neuropsychology, in particular, psychological functioning and cognitive assessment. Her experience in both Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology, allows Tina to tease out the multiple factors involved in complex childhood mental health presentations.  She does this via collation of information gleaned from interviews, observation, and psychometric testing.

Tina’s enthusiasm for working with children has moulded and shaped her private practice work over the years.  Her goal is to support children, adolescents, and their families using both her professional skills and lived experience.  Tina has three children who have mental health challenges, including, neurodivergence. As such, Tina is very familiar with the impact of such challenges and is accustomed to working collaboratively with other professionals (GPs, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, teachers and support workers, etc) and systems (e.g. schools, NDIA, etc) to advocate for children and families.

Tina finds her role both rewarding and fulfilling. She is committed to ongoing professional development to further develop her skills and, thus, offer the most up-to-date, evidence-based interventions to her clientele.
