About Me
Maya completed her medical training in England in 2013. She has worked in a wide variety of settings, including, surgical, medical and emergency services in central London, Adelaide and Brisbane, before commencing specialist training in psychiatry. Throughout her training, Maya has worked across both private and public psychiatry settings, including, the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, Queensland Children's Hospital and Ramsey Clinic (New Farm).
Thoroughly enjoying her time as a registrar in private practice, Maya decided to complete the tail end of her training in private practice here at Eton Place. She enjoys many aspects of child and adolescent psychiatry private practice, including, building strong therapeutic alliances with children and their families, being involved in the care of her patients over a longitudinal period of time and playing a role in their growth, development and well-being from child and adolescent to young adult.
Maya prioritises collaboration with families, stakeholders and others involved in her patients' care. She strongly believes this is key to the best possible outcomes and the physical and mental well-being of those under her care.
